Kayvon Thibodeaux suffered an apparent ankle injury during No. 12 Oregon’s win against Fresno State in Eugene on Sept. 4. The Ducks defensive lineman was forced to exit in the 1st quarter. Despite returning, he left again and was unable to complete the game.

Thibodeaux was with the team as they traveled to Columbus to take on No. 3 Ohio State in an important non-conference matchup at Ohio Stadium. However, as the Ducks warmed up prior to the noon ET kickoff, Thibodeaux was spotted in street clothes, according to 247Sports’ Matt Prehm.

FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman reported that Thibodeaux is considered “very doubtful” for the contest, with the ankle injury limiting the junior’s ability to practice “beyond rehab work”.

Regarded as one of the top defensive linemen in college football, Thibodeaux accumulated 23.5 tackles for a loss and 12.0 sacks in his first 2 seasons with Oregon. As a sophomore, he totaled 42 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, and 3.0 sacks. He was credited with a sack in his brief action against Fresno State on Sept. 4.

The Ducks and Buckeyes will kick off at noon ET on FOX.
