Kelly Bryant opens up about why he chose Mizzou for final year of college eligibility

The Missouri Tigers landed a great player when they convinced former Clemson QB Kelly Bryant to come to Columbia for his final year of college eligibility.
Even facing a postseason ban for the 2019 season, Bryant hasn’t wavered in his decision, even after other schools like Auburn, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Arkansas tried to land him this offseason.
In a profile by CBS Sports writer Dennis Dodd, Bryant discussed how he reached his Mizzou decision. He said he simply couldn’t find a good reason not to head to Columbia:
“Why Missouri? Everybody asks me that,” Bryant said. “I was asking myself that early on.
“When I got back on the plane, it was like, ‘OK, they have my attention.’ There were these other schools, but Mizzou was still in the back of my head. I was trying to convince myself, ‘I don’t want to go to Missouri.’ I just couldn’t.”
Bryant has already been named the Tigers’ starter, so he doesn’t have to look over his shoulder this spring.
