Ken Seals’ family finds creative way to watch him play as Vanderbilt Stadium remains off limits to Commodore fans

No chance Ken Seals’ family was going to miss their son play in his home opener at Vanderbilt.

After an impressive debut against Texas A&M in the 2020 season opener, Vanderbilt’s true freshman quarterback started his first game for the Commodores in Nashville on Saturday night against LSU.

While the school has relaxed some restrictions on fan attendance inside Vanderbilt Stadium, at this point, only senior students are allowed to attend Commodore home games.

So with Seals’ family not able to attend the game, did they just sit back and watch it on television? No chance.

The family rented a hotel with a view of the field to watch Ken start his first home game as a Commodore.

Seals finished the game completing 11 of 25 passes for 113 passing yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Not the ideal statline but LSU came into this matchup with everything on the line and Bo Pelini’s defense played that way on their way to limiting Vandy’s young quarterback.

Either way, the Seals family went all out to watch the QB play and you have to respect that:
