Kenny Dillingham is an electric factory.

Arizona State’s head coach is the youngest in the country at just 34 years old after earning the job at his alma mater in 2023. He graduated from Arizona State 12 years ago.

While at ASU Dillingham was just a regular student like everyone else. He served as an assistant at Chaparral High School in nearby Scottsdale after tearing his ACL in high school. He was just 17 when he started with Chaparral and eventually turned his experience into a graduate assistant job at ASU after graduation.

Last night the Sun Devils downed No. 16 Utah 27-19 and Dillingham delivered an absolutely incredible postgame interview. He yelled “I was one of these guys!” numerous times, jumping up and down as fans stormed the field.

Arizona State deserved that win, too. Cam Rising was obviously not 100% last night, but the Sun Devils took full advantage with 3 interceptions, including a pick on the final drive to seal the deal.

Dillingham’s Sun Devils are now 5-1 on the season with a top 25 win under their belt. Their sole loss came in Lubbock to a solid Texas Tech squad, which means they’re firmly in the race for the Big 12 as conference play begins to really ramp up.

Arizona State is back in action next weekend against Cincinnati.
