Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart wins Sports Business Journal’s AD of the Year award

The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off a great season in a number of sports, but particularly in the big-money sports of football and men’s basketball.
Mark Stoops and the football program won 10 games and John Calipari and the basketball team reached the Elite Eight.
On Wednesday night, AD Mitch Barnhart was given the Sports Business Journal’s AD of the Year award for his work with the Wildcats’ program. Below, you can see his acceptance speech:

Barnhart has been with the Wildcats for 18 years now, and in his speech, he thanks the SEC and commissioner Greg Sankey, calling the conference “the greatest conference in America.”
It was a great year for Big Blue Nation, and under Barnhart’s leadership, there could be plenty more great years coming soon.
