The Kentucky Wildcats have struggled at times to keep top in-state talent at home, so adding a player from the Bluegrass State on Wednesday was important.
This player — 2-star OG Dagen Rash — will join the Wildcats as a preferred walk-on instead of committing to Army as originally planned.
As you can see below, Rash announced his decision via Twitter on Wednesday evening:

Per the 247Sports composite, Rash is the No. 196 offensive guard in the class of 2019 and the No. 35 overall recruit from the state of Kentucky.
Kentucky’s 2019 class currently has 21 players and ranks No. 31 in the country and No. 12 in the SEC, per 247Sports. Rash, as a preferred walk-on, won’t count toward that number.
