Kentucky announces gameday information, COVID-19 policies for 2021 season

Things will mostly be returning to normal at Kroger Field this fall.
On Wednesday, Kentucky announced gameday information for the 2021 season with the school stating that it anticipates tailgating, bands, cheerleaders and “nearly everything that goes along with college football Saturdays” to be back this year.
While there aren’t any new COVID-19 policies in place, Kentucky will be following the guidelines that have already been implemented on campus. So masks will be required in indoor spaces throughout Kroger Field, but they won’t be required in concourse areas, seating bowls, outside club suiting and suites with the windows open for fully vaccinated people.
It won’t be necessary for fans to show proof of vaccination at the gates, but Kentucky is encouraging unvaccinated fans to wear masks when they’re around other people at the game.
Kentucky listed the following places as indoor spaces that will require masks: “Restrooms, Longship Club, Central Bank Club, inside of the Lexus Loge, the Central Bank Press Box, all elevators, the KFB Recruit Room, the Player/Guest Entrance, First Aid rooms, offices and any other spaces that are fully enclosed.”
There will be plenty of opportunities for Kentucky fans to come to Kroger Field early in the season. The Wildcats open the year with three straight home matchups — Sept. 4 vs. UL Monroe, Sept. 11 vs. Missouri and Sept. 18 vs. Chattanooga.
