Kentucky confirms offensive coordinator and WR coach will not return

The reports that Kentucky offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson was not going to return for 2016 started to surface on Thursday, and those reports have now been confirmed on Friday.
According to The Lexington Herald-Leader’s Jen Smith, the university acknowledged the departure:
Kentucky just confirmed that Shannon Dawson and wide receivers coach Tommy Mainord "are no longer with the University of Kentucky."

What’s interesting about that report is that WR coach Tommy Mainord is also listed as a coach that will not return.
Smith had this tidbit on Mainord’s contract:
Tommy Mainord’s contract, which was renewed in February, runs through June 30, 2017, paying him $275,000 a year.
