Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Kentucky is playing a seemingly superior Ole Miss squad really, really well to start…

The Wildcats drew first blood in Week 2’s matchup between Kentucky and Ole Miss, taking a 10-0 lead early over No. 20. There’s a lot to cover, so let’s not waste any time.

To start, Kentucky defender Ty Bryant snagged an Austin Simmons pass after sitting in his blind spot, setting the Wildcats up with excellent field position.

Just a few plays later, the Wildcats were in the end zone. Seth McGowan did the honors, rushing it in from 9 yards out – his 2nd touchdown of the year.

In a fit of extreme Deja Vu, Kentucky did it all over again the following drive. Or should we say, Austin Simmons did.

Bryant once again picked off Simmons, this time snagging an overthrown ball out of the air to return it to the Ole Miss 33-yard line. Here’s a look at Bryant’s 2nd interception of the afternoon:

The Wildcats were unable to find the end zone this time, but still knocked a field goal through the uprights to take an early 10-0 lead. Jacob Kauwe is still perfect on the year for the Wildcats.

There’s a lot of football still to be played, folks. Can the Wildcats keep this up?
