Keion Brooks Jr. probably didn’t make as big of an impact as he would have liked in his freshman season at Kentucky, but he still did play a big role off the bench for the Wildcats.

Five Kentucky players are already testing the draft waters early — Ashton Hagans, Tyrese Maxey, Nick Richards, EJ Montgomery and Immanuel Quickley. Hagans and Maxey are for sure leaving, but the others are still weighing their options.

On Tuesday night, Brooks announced he would return for his sophomore season in Lexington:

Brooks could make a jump like fellow forwards PJ Washington and Nick Richards have done the past couple of years with another season in John Calipari’s system.

Brooks appeared in 31 games for the Wildcats, starting 6 of them. He averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
