Coming off consecutive bowl appearances, Kentucky has decided to reward five assistant coaches with contract extensions.

Offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, Special teams coordinator Dean Hood, defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale, defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc and offensive line coach John Schlarman have all been awarded one-year extensions in Lexington. With these deals now in place, they all have deals which run thru the 2019 season, according to Jon Hale of the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The rest of Mark Stoops’ full-time coaching staff were already on deals which ran until the 2019 season.

Kentucky has gone 7-6 overall and 4-4 in the SEC in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Both times, the program has lost its bowl game.
