Kentucky basketball brought in a huge recruit on Wednesday.

Kahlil Whitney, a 5-star small forward from Roselle, N.J., announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Wildcats. He chose Kentucky over offers from Oregon, Louisville, Georgetown and St. John’s, among others.

Whitney announced the decision with a commitment video on Twitter. Watch below:

Whitney is the No. 19 recruit in the 2019 class per the 247sports Composite rankings. He ranks as the No. 5 small forward and the No. 4 recruit from New Jersey.

Kentucky has three commits in the 2019 class. In addition to Whitney, the Wildcats have landed 5-star guard Tyrese Maxey and 4-star forward Dontaie Allen. That currently ranks as the No. 2 class in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC.

Kentucky has continued its recruiting success under coach John Calipari, and it won’t be surprising to see the Wildcats land more top recruits during this cycle.
