Kentucky lands commitment from highly-recruited EDGE out of Missouri

Kentucky added a key player to its 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wildcats picked up a commitment from 3-star EDGE rusher Caleb Redd. He chose the Wildcats over offers from programs such as Oklahoma, USC and Kansas State, amongst others.

Here’s his announcement:

Redd is a significant addition for the Wildcats. He’s the No. 814 overall player and the No. 53 EDGE in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 11 player from the state of Missouri.

He attends DeSmet High School in Saint Louis, Missouri. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds.

Redd took his official visit to Lexington earlier this month. He also made trips to Kansas State and USC prior to making his commitment.

Kentucky now has 10 commits in the class of 2024. Redd is the first EDGE to join Kentucky’s list of commits so far this cycle.
