Kentucky added to its 2022 recruiting class with a Mother’s Day commitment. Adou Thiero, a combo guard from Pennsylvania, announced his pledge to the Wildcats via his Twitter account.

While not a Kentucky legacy, Thiero is what one could call a Calipari legacy. As Chris Fisher of 247Sports notes, Almamy Thiero, Adou’s father, played for UK coach John Calipari for 3 seasons at Memphis from 2002-to-2005.  Adou’s mother, Mariam, was a 2006 WNBA Draft selection.

Listed at 6-5, 180 pounds, Thiero is rated 3-stars, the No. 28 combo guard and No. 189 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. In April, he visited Kentucky, Maryland and Xavier. Thiero has 7 scholarship offers.
