The Kentucky Wildcats lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 35-14 in Week 6 of the 2025 college football season. Less than a week later, an offensive lineman from the Peach State has decided he wants to play somewhere other than Lexington.

On Wednesday evening, OL Tyreek Jemison told Hayes Fawcett of Rivals that he was decommitting from Kentucky. Jemison, a Dallas, GA native, first committed to the Wildcats back in June.

Jemison (6-foot-5, 315 lbs.) is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the No. 576 national prospect, the No. 48 interior offensive lineman and the No. 64 player from Georgia in those respective rankings.

Including Kentucky, Jemison has 46 college offers, per 247Sports. However, just 2 of those (Ole Miss, Missouri) are from other SEC schools. Jemison visited the Rebels in late May, then took trips to North Carolina, NC State and Georgia Tech in June before committing to the Wildcats. Nobody can be sure of where Jemison will end up at the moment, but any guesses would theoretically have to start with those schools because of those visits.

With Jemison’s departure, Kentucky now has 14 hard-commits for the 2026 recruiting class. UK’s overall standing (No. 60) in the 247Sports’ recruiting class rankings is second-worst in the SEC, ahead of only Arkansas (No. 66).
