Kentucky is 1 of 3 finalists for ex-Toledo running back Peny Boone.
Boone, who was named the MAC offensive player of the year in 2023, is also considering Florida State and Louisville. He shared his finalists with On3’s Pete Nakos on Thursday:

Boone would be a massive addition for the Wildcats in 2024. He rushed for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns during the 2023 campaign. He was also a big threat out of the back field, catching 15 passes for 219 yards and another TD.
Boone also has experience playing at the Power-5 level before. He began his collegiate career at Maryland before transferring to Toledo ahead of the 2022 season. He will have 1 season of eligibility remaining.
Kentucky will be looking for a new lead running back next season as Ray Davis is set to turn pro in 2024. Besides Davis, Kentucky did not have a running back who rushed for more than 200 yards during the regular season.
Kentucky will face Clemson in the Gator Bowl to cap off the 2023 season.
