Kentucky QB Danny Clark announces departure from Mark Stoops’ Wildcat program

After two seasons in Lexington, Danny Clark is ready to move on from the Kentucky football program.
The redshirt sophomore announced his intentions to leave the program on Tuesday. Clark is a native of Ohio and signed with Mark Stoops’ program as a member of the 2017 recruiting class. He was originally a longtime commit of Ohio State before signing with Kentucky.
He sat his first season out as a redshirt player and with the addition to the roster and eventually starting nod at the QB position heading into the 2018 season going to Terry Wilson, Clark’s future prospects on the field in Lexington looked bleak. For what it’s worth, Clark’s statement was nothing but positive regarding his time at Kentucky, nothing that he desires to play for a program that fits his style as a player.
