No one associated with the Kentucky football program was pleased with how the Wildcats played Saturday in a 28-23 come-from-behind win over FCS opponent UT Chattanooga.
After the game, Kentucky coach Mark Stoops acknowledged that it wasn’t a great day for his team.
“We didn’t compliment each other,” Stoops said. “We didn’t play complimentary football today.”

Followed that up by mentioning he wanted to say something but didn’t want it to become a headline.

While the Wildcats are now 3-0 on the season, tougher tests await, including a trip to South Carolina next weekend.
And at least one Kentucky player is promising a better showing than his team put forth against the Moccasins.
“Proud of how we finished, but best believe that we’re showing up as a different team in Columbia,” tweeted Wildcats quarterback Will Levis. “Onto the next one. Let’s go.”

Levis, a 6-3, 232-pound junior, completed 23-of-35 passes Saturday for 254 yards, and 2 touchdowns, but he also threw 2 interceptions.
Kentucky’s matchup with the Gamecocks is set for 7 p.m. EST next Saturday night and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
