Kentucky will have a new offensive coordinator in 2023 after parting ways with Rich Scangarello following his only year in Lexington in 2022.

It appears the Wildcats will also have a role to fill in the backfield, as a veteran running back will reportedly enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Per Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, Kavosiey Smoke will explore his transfer options ahead of the 2023 campaign:

Smoke was a 3-star recruit out of Alabama in the 2018 recruiting class. In 5 years at Kentucky, he has rushed 291 times for 1,583 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Where he ends up playing next year remains to be seen, but it appears his lengthy stint with the Wildcats is coming to an end.
