Kentucky rushing attack sets several records in win over Missouri

Kentucky ran wild on Saturday afternoon in a 35-21 victory over Missouri in Columbia.
The Wildcats amassed 377 yards on the ground, scoring three touchdowns with their rushing attack.
Kentucky broke several school records on Saturday and also accomplished something that hadn’t been done since 1977:
This is the first time Uk has rushed for at least 250 yards against three straight SEC opponents since 1977.

The Wildcats were led by freshman Benny Snell, who ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns, and sophomore Boom Williams, who added 182 yards and a score.
The outstanding performance from the two young backs accomplished something Kentucky has never done:
It’s the first time in school history that Kentucky had two players rush for 175 yards apiece in an SEC game.

Meanwhile, Boom Williams reached a career milestone in the win:
Boom Williams reached 2,000 yards on his 288th carry, the fewest number of carries needed to reach that mark by any Wildcat.

Not to be outdone, Snell, who set a school record for most rushing touchdowns by a freshman, also made more school history against the Tigers:
Benny Snell’s 192 yards rushing is a school record for most rushing yards by a freshman in a single game.

If the Wildcats can continue their strong running against Georgia next weekend, Kentucky has a chance to pull off the upset.
