The bad news keeps coming for the Wildcats this fall.

A week after losing DT Regie Meant for “personal reasons” and receiving news that TE Darryl Long would transfer, the Kentucky secondary took a big hit on Saturday.

News broke that S Darius West, a sophomore who was projected to start in 2016, injured his knee and would miss the entire season:

The motto for football teams is always “next man up,” but if Kentucky continues down this path, they’re going to run out of “next men” before the start of the 2016 season.

West recorded 17 tackles in six games for the Wildcats in 2015.
