The Kentucky Wildcats are showing their full support for running back Stanley “Boom” Williams following the death of his younger sister this week. Head coach Mark Stoops, who appeared at a speaking engagement on Thursday, shed some light on how the team has helped the junior running back.
“We are his home away from home and we’re trying to be very supportive of Boom,” Stoops said.
“He’s handled it the best he can. He’s been at almost all the workouts. He went home and went back for the funeral and the services and is back at work. We’re trying to support him the best we can in a difficult situation.”

Williams led the Wildcats with 855 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 121 attempts and has started at running back since his true freshman season in 2014.
He’s one of the SEC’s most overlooked players heading into 2016.
