Former Kentucky fullback Drew Schlegel has found his new team. The walk-on graduate transfer announced Friday that he will be finishing his career in the Pac-12 at Cal.

“I’d like to thank everyone at UK for what they’ve done for me over the past 4 years, especially Wince Marrow for giving me the opportunity to make a name for myself. With that being said, I’ll be grad transferring to CAL-Berkeley for my final season!” Schlegel tweeted.

Over the last two seasons, Schlegel appeared in 24 games for the Wildcats. He recorded his first career catch against Florida in 2019. Schlegel made four special teams tackles as a sophomore in 2018 and logged two kick returns last seasons against Mississippi State and Louisville.

Schlegel entered the transfer portal in May.
