Kentucky came close to knocking off Auburn in Week 1, trailing 15-13 after 3 quarters before the Tigers pulled away for a 29-13 win at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
On Saturday, Mark Stoops’ team will be at Kroger Field in Lexington, kicking off its home schedule with a game against the Ole Miss Rebels. Lane Kiffin’s group fell 51-35 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium against Florida and is also looking to even its record on the young season. About 12,000 people, 20% of Kroger Field’s capacity, will be allowed to attend.
On Friday, the Wildcats unveiled their uniform combination for their Week 2 matchup. The team will be wearing white helmets, along with a blue jersey with white numbers, blue pants, and white cleats with blue trim. On the sides of the helmets is the familiar blue interlocking “UK” logo.
The Wildcats trail 14-27-1 in the all-time series, with the last game in 2017 going to the Rebels by a final of 37-34.
