The awards keep flowing in for Josh Allen.

Kentucky’s star linebacker received the 2018 Jack Lambert Award, presented annually to the nation’s top linebacker as judged by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Ohio. The senior, who was named a first team All-American by a dozen outlets, has already earned three other accolades for National Defensive Player of the Year — the Bronko Nagurski Award, the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Ronnie Lott IMPACT Trophy.

The newest honor is named for Pro Football Hall of Famer Jack Lambert and will be presented to Allen in February.

Allen has been instrumental in No. 14 Kentucky’s breakout nine-win season, and he leads the SEC in both tackles for loss (18.5) and sacks (14) while ranking tied for first nationally with five forced fumbles. He’s also the program leader in both single-season and career sacks (28.5).

Allen has announced he will play for the Wildcats in the Citrus Bowl against No. 12 Penn State, which will cap off his outstanding college career before he moves on to the NFL.
