“I want to thank God and my family,” Green said after receiving his plaques, per the Houston Chronicle. “Thank my coaches and school and everyone in the community for always believing in me. I’m just going to put my head down and keep working. Keep being the man I am and keep growing. Making sure that I can impact the youth, and I thank y’all truly.”
Green remains in Houston as the No. 15 overall pick by the Texans in the 2022 NFL Draft. A season-long captain for the Aggies in 2021, Green played 4 different offensive line positions, starting all 12 games.
Green was a 3-time SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week in 2021. The first time was for Texas A&M’s season-opening win over Kent State when the Aggies recorded 595 yards of total offense. He was honored again for helping Texas A&M rush for 283 yards against Missouri. The conference recognized Green a third time after the Aggies posted 477 yards of total offense in a win over South Carolina.
Green was a 3-year standout for Jimbo Fisher’s program. He made the SEC’s All-Freshman Team in 2019. Green received All-America First Team recognition in 2020 (Sporting News, FWAA) and ‘21 (AP, Sporting News). He was also named All-SEC First Team for 2021.
