Keon Coleman was the star of the show for Florida State on Sunday night in Orlando.

A Louisiana native, Coleman scored 3 touchdowns in the Noles’ 45-24 win over LSU.

Yahoo!’s Ross Dellenger reported after the game that Coleman was never offered a scholarship by the Tigers. Coleman’s mother, Ravin Savoy, was also quoted in the story referring to LSU as “the enemy.”

“Oh it was good,” Savoy told Yahoo!. “Especially against LSU. God is blessing him. God says to make your enemies your footstool. He did it.”

However, Coleman wrote in a Tweet on Monday afternoon that he holds no ill-will towards the Tigers.

“I have nothing against that university or their coaches,” Coleman wrote in-part. “They tried to get me there out of high school and the transfer portal.”

Coleman said he wasn’t interested in staying in the state of Louisiana:

Coleman was a 4-star prospect out of Opelousas, Louisiana in the class of 2021. He ended up enrolling at Michigan State out of high school before transferring to Florida State this offseason.

Coleman ended his Florida State debut with 9 catches for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Florida State will be in action again in Week 2 as it hosts Southern Miss.
