So far, an answer to Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC was for the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 to form something called the Alliance as they try to navigate the future of college sports, and keep their collective voices involved.
Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren shared on Sirius XM College what he and his colleagues plan to do going forward with their partnership.
“We feel very strongly about college athletics, we believe in college athletics, but we also believe in the importance of us working together to stabilize all the different issues we were dealing with,” Warren said. “… We have a lot of turbulence in college athletics. We thought by forming the Alliance it would help stabilize kind of where we are, what we need to do and for us to be able to work together on it.”
