LSU star RB Leonard Fournette may be forced to return in 2016 due to rules about entering the NFL Draft, but several of his teammates have made the decision to join the Heisman candidate for what could end up being a special season in Baton Rogue.

According to a report from NOLA.com’s James Smith, sources are saying that CB Tre’Davious White and LB Kendell Beckwith plan to return for another chance at the SEC West crown.

Here’s a snippet from the report, which details the decision both players had to make:

White always had intentions of staying four years at LSU, but the decision became complicated once he was considered a possible first-round pick.

Beckwith, who was the team’s starting middle linebacker, appears to have decided that he also could benefit from another season in school.

Smith writes that neither has made their decision official yet, but that can be expected soon with Monday’s deadline to file for the draft approaching.

It’s a huge boost for the Tigers defense, which will be directed by new coordinator Dave Aranda in 2016.

LSU already received good news on the offensive side of the ball, where WR Travin Dural and OL Ethan Pocic also will return next season after considering the NFL Draft.
