While the details of Ludacris’ contract with the University of Georgia to perform at the team’s spring game provided chuckles for some, it infuriated others.
Ludacris was paid $65,000 for his short 15-minute performance, but he was also granted several other items that raised many peoples’ eyebrows such as two bottles of Belvedere Vodka, two bottles of wine and a box of Trojan brand condoms among many other things like food and toiletries.
On Thursday, Georgia’s Kirby Smart joined The Paul Finebaum Show and was asked about the contract. Here’s what the first-year head coach had to say.
"I wasn't privy to the contract & obviously we need to do a better job of handling situations like that" – Kirby Smart on @Ludacris at G-Day

Ludacris performed in front of a SEC spring game attendance record 93,000 after the school came to terms with the Atlanta-based rapper just two days before the event.
However, the terms continue to draw negative attention to the program.
