Thanks to two Florida turnovers, Georgia heads to halftime up 13-7 in Jacksonville. The turnovers defined the early part of the game but outside of those mistakes, the Gators have been impressive against the favored Bulldogs.
Feleipe Franks started the game looking very shaky, missing opening receivers downfield for a sure touchdown and throwing an interception but he responded well, leading the Gators to the scoring drive of the game for Dan Mullen’s team. Franks finished the first half completing seven of 11 passes for 49 and the interception. He also added 14 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
Jake Fromm responded following the worst performance of his collegiate career (two weekends ago at LSU) to complete eight of 11 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. He also led a scoring drive prior to the half to push Georgia’s advantage to 13-7 in the game.
While heading into the locker room for halftime, CBS caught up with Kirby Smart to get his thoughts on his team’s six-point lead heading into the half.
