Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs bounced back from the loss to Alabama last week as they took care of Auburn by a score of 31-13. However, the big news in the SEC was Vanderbilt defeating that same Alabama team by a score of 40-35.
Smart was asked after the game about the what the upset win for Vanderbilt means for college football, and he gave a great answer back to it.

“I think Vandy has got a great program and does a good job,” Smart said. “It is a lot of other people that don’t respect Vandy. I respect Clark Lea his team and his quarterback. I respect what they have done. Someone told me that 6 of the 8 games were decided by 1 score or less in our league. Texas A&M and Missouri. Welcome to the SEC. It is hard every week. It is consistency and performance. When you ride the wave of emotion, you get caught at the bottom of the wave sometimes.”
The Bulldogs will be back in action next week, as they host the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Kickoff in that game is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. ET and will be on the SEC Network. Can the Bulldogs keep building momentum? Or will they be caught in a troubling situation like Alabama?
