Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs earned a big 34-7 win over rival Florida on Saturday evening in Jacksonville.

The Dawgs are the No. 1 team in the country, and that’s in large part because of their defense. That defense was elite once again on Saturday, completely changing the game right before halftime.

After the game, Smart was asked if he by Jamie Erdahl of CBS if he liked watching the Dawgs play defense. He responded with a great quote:

“I have fun watching these guys practice,” Smart said. “These guys go about their meetings and practice days so serious, taking notes, getting nuggets. Their coaches do a great job, but these kids right here, they’re special.”

Nakobe Dean had a pick-6 just before halftime to make the score 24-0 in favor of the Bulldogs.

Smart had plenty of praise for the talented linebacker, too:

“This guy does it the right way every day,” he said. “This guy leads by example. That ball he caught over there? He’s got the best hands in America. I love it.”

The Dawgs have a date with Mizzou in Athens next weekend. By that point, they should be No. 1 in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the year, which will be released on Tuesday night.
