Georgia had no trouble plowing over Vanderbilt 45-14 on Saturday.

It was in complete control from start to finish in Nashville.

Bulldogs’ head coach Kirby Smart was pleased with his squad’s effort for the most part, though he did see a few things the ‘Dawgs could improve on — particularly on defense.

Here are some of his post-game comments, with quotes from Twitter and Georgia’s football website:

Once again, Georgia fans showed up in great numbers on the road.

Smart was particularly impressed with UGA running back Nick Chubb, who eclipsed the 4,000-yard rushing mark in his career.

“Sony (Michel) and Nick (Chubb) are a dynamic duo,” Smart said. “What a blessing to have them back. They run with great pad level. They are tough kids and the proudest thing I’m of them is that they protected the ball.”

Chubb was not the only reason the running game was so efficient.

“Physicality on the front, I was really proud of the offensive line today,” Smart said. “They had a little bit of a chip on their shoulders from last year, because they didn’t feel like they played their best game against that team. Obviously, they don’t have some of the same guys back, but they have some of them — it was the same defensive lineman.

“We think our offensive line played physical and our backs ran hard,” Smart added. “Jim (Chaney) called a good game and the offense did a nice job today.”

Georgia’s head coach commented on Jacob Eason’s turnover:

Smart said Georgia wasn’t at its best on defense:

And apparently UGA center Lamont Gaillard came out of the game for a snack.
