Kirby Smart praises the job Sam Pittman has done at Arkansas, has high expectations for the Razorbacks this season
After working with Sam Pittman for a number of years, Kirby Smart found out first-hand how good of a head coach the first-year coach would be for Arkansas in the 2020 season opener.
The Bulldogs were favored by multiple touchdowns in that game but the Razorbacks, a program that had not won a league game in over two years, had the lead against Georgia at the halftime break.
The two programs are set to meet again this season, this time in Athens, on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Talent and depth won out for the Bulldogs that Saturday but the effort displayed by Arkansas certainly caught Smart’s attention and it’s something Georgia’s coach is still praising Pittman for during 2021 SEC Media Days.
In addition to praising Pittman, Kirby Smart issued his praise for the coaching staff in Fayetteville and the fact that the Razorbacks are returning so many seniors this fall.

“Someone told me they have more seniors coming back then anyone in the conference.
