Georgia enters its bye week still missing three key players, but there are signs that at least one or two of them will return before the Bulldogs play the Florida Gators a week from Saturday.

Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart said in his press conference Tuesday night that defensive lineman Travon Walker is expected to be cleared to return by Monday. He added cornerback Tyson Campbell looked to be “the best he’s been in a long time” on Tuesday as well.

The bad news is wide receiver Lawrence Cager is still considered week-to-week.

Campbell hasn’t played since Week 3 against Arkansas State. In three games, he has seven total tackles, including 0.5 tackle for loss and three pass breakups.

Walker has been out the last two games since suffering a wrist injury in Week 6 against Tennessee. He has five total tackles, including 0.5 tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks this year.

But the player Georgia might need back the most is the senior receiver. Cager is second on the team with 19 receptions and 245 receiving yards. He is also tied with Demetris Robertson for the team lead with three receiving touchdowns.

Cager played in the loss against South Carolina, but he missed last week’s game versus Kentucky. In that contest, Georgia didn’t score a touchdown in the first half and the Bulldogs finished with just 35 passing yards — although the weather and playcalling definitely played a role in the low passing total as well.

Georgia is on a bye this week and will face Florida in Jacksonville in its next game on Nov. 2.
