Kirk Herbstreit has brought his dog Ben along with him during his travels in recent weeks to call college football and NFL games. On Saturday in Atlanta at the SEC Championship, Ben met with Uga, Georgia’s lovable mascot.
Herbstreit has been active with Ben on social media, and shared pictures and video of him in hotels, planes and on the field. For example, this week alone, Herbstreit and Ben traveled to Dallas for an NFL game, Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Championship, and Atlanta for ESPN’s College GameDay to preview the Alabama game against Georgia.
Georgia’s Uga, who is also known as Boom, is Uga XI and was introduced during pregame ceremonies at the 2023 G-Day Game. He succeeded Uga X, affectionately known as Que, who retired as the winningest mascot in Georgia history.
