Kirk Herbstreit participates in College GameDay segment from convertible
Kirk Herbstreit was on the move during ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday.
Herbstreit is not on the call for Oregon-Ohio State as that game will be broadcast on FOX. Instead, he’s headed to Dallas, Texas, to call the latest installment of the Red River Rivalry.
Because Texas-Oklahoma kicks off at 3:30 ET, Herbstreit needed to leave Eugene a little bit early. But that didn’t stop him from still contributing some analysis during the second half of the show.
Herbstreit attempted to give some analysis on Penn State-USC but was interrupted by Pat McAfee, who took some time to point out the absurdity of the situation.
“I can’t hear a word you’re saying, Herbie, let me tell you why,” McAfee said. “It sounds great, it looks great … You’ve got 2 cars flanking you with a camera right now and you’ve got your flashers on. This might be the most absurd thing that has ever happened on television.”
Here’s a clip from the broadcast:

This wasn’t the only segment featuring Herbie on the move. He delivered his GameDay picks from his airplane that was already en route to Dallas.
