Kirk Herbstreit calls Dan Mullen the ‘perfect fit’ at Florida

Looking back on the Florida Gators coaching search, Dan Mullen was the name that kept coming up to start the process.
It almost seemed too perfect. Florida AD Scott Stricklin previously worked with Mullen at Mississippi State, and obviously, Mullen previously worked at Florida as the offensive coordinator under Urban Meyer.
Florida made a run at Chip Kelly, who eventually went to UCLA, and it also made a run at UCF’s Scott Frost, who appears headed to his alma mater at Nebraska.
But Florida fans shouldn’t be disappointed in hiring Mullen. His track record is there, and he knows the expectations at Florida.
ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit thinks Mullen is the perfect fit at Florida.
Congrats to @GatorsFB on hiring Dan Mullen!! Dan’s 9 years of head coaching experience & success combined with his background in Gainesville as OC make him a perfect fit!! #HereComeTheGators
