Kirk Herbstreit congratulated Georgia football for winning back-to-back national championship titles over TCU Monday night in dominant fashion. In the process, Herbstreit also wished the Bulldogs luck in chasing a 3-peat.

Herbstreit, who played college football at Ohio State, has always been outspoken about his preference towards the B1G. Truly, his Ohio State Buckeyes gave Georgia more of a run than TCU and its 3-3-5 defense could have dreamed. That works against Michigan, but not in the SEC.

Georgia football was not necessarily as dominant as they were last season, but they absolutely looked the part when it mattered. Georgia dominated Oregon and Tennessee in the regular season, took care of business against LSU in the SEC Championship game and got it done against No. 3 and No. 4 on its way to another title.

And as Herbstreit pointed out, with a tame schedule next season it seems likely that Georgia will be right back in the running next season.
