Though Kirk Herbstreit was preoccupied calling Iowa’s upset of Michigan during Shea Patterson’s first start, he didn’t fail to notice.
The ESPN college football analyst named Patterson his top performer of Week 11 for guiding Ole Miss to a 29-28 win at No. 8 Texas A&M. The true freshman completed 25-of-42 passes for 338 yards and two scores in front of a rowdy Kyle Field crowd.

The Rebels as a team also appeared on Kirk’s list for the third-best performance last Saturday. But Ole Miss wasn’t the only SEC team to get a shout out from Herbstreit.
He named Georgia’s upset of No. 9 Auburn the fifth-best performance of the weekend, while designating Georgia’s entire defense as the third-best player.
