Kirk Herbstreit has named his top-performing teams for Week 6.
In what was an upset-filled weekend across the sport, it should be no surprise to see some teams who pulled off stunning victories on Saturday at the top of Herbie’s list. Vanderbilt and Arkansas, who both beat top-5 teams on Saturday, headline this week’s list of top performers.
Texas A&M also made the cut after its dominating win over a top-10 Mizzou team in Week 6. That gives the SEC a total of 3 representatives on the list for this week.
Minnesota, Washington, SMU and Pitt round out the 7 teams who earned a shoutout from Herbstreit:

Vanderbilt pulled off one of the biggest upsets in recent memory with its defeat of Alabama on Saturday. The Commodores hadn’t beaten Alabama since 1984 before Saturday.
Arkansas also completed a historic upset on Saturday with its win over then-No. 4 Tennessee. It was the Hogs’ first home win over a top-5 team since the 1999 season.
Texas A&M was dominant from start to finish against Missouri on Saturday. The Aggies are still in the College Football Playoff mix and have looked much better since their season-opening loss to Notre Dame.
