Football season is a roller coaster ride. You get incredible games from the country’s best college programs on Saturdays, then watch the pros duke it out on Sundays (and Mondays and Thursdays). Most of the time, Kirk Herbstreit personally witnesses 2 of those contests from the broadcast booth. Now, he’ll be analyzing them afterward with another Ohio State alum.
On Monday morning, Herbstreit and fellow ESPN analyst — and Ohio State alum — Joey Galloway launched a new podcast: Nonstop. The show focuses on both college and NFL action. The duo kicked things off by talking about Texas A&M‘s shootout victory over Notre Dame and Georgia‘s miraculous escape from Tennessee.
Following those conversations, Herbstreit and Galloway spoke on some of the weekend’s biggest upsets, including Georgia Tech’s walk-off win over Clemson and Vanderbilt trouncing South Carolina. They rounded up their first episode with thoughts on the Green Bay Packers’ stupendous opening to the NFL season and the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive struggles amidst an 0-2 start.
Overall, the show seemed to pack quite a bit into a 1-hour time frame. And as Herbstreit and Galloway gather more chemistry, they could fit even more football talk into each episode. You can check out Nonstop on Herbstreit’s personal YouTube page every Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. E.T.
