Kirk Herbstreit lists top-performing players from Week 13

Kirk Herbstreit always reveals the players, coaches, and teams in college football who impressed him the most after each week. With Week 13 in the books, Herbstreit has revealed his latest lists.

For players, the analyst had many to choose from after a wild week. Herbstreit went with 3 players from the SEC, 2 from the Big 12, 2 from the ACC, and 1 from the B1G. Herbstreit also included an honorary selection from the SEC.

At the No. 1 spot, Herbstreit went with Kansas running back Devin Neal. Neal racked up 207 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. The talented back also led the team in receiving with 4 catches for 80 yards and 1 TD.

At No. 2, Herbstreit went with Auburn’s Payton Thorne and Cam Coleman. Thorne threw for 301 yards and 2 TDs while Coleman caught 7 passes for 128 yards and 2 TDs. The No. 3 spot went to Florida defender Caleb Banks who racked up 4 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for loss.

At No. 4, Herbstreit pivoted to the B1G, going with Illinois wide receiver Pat Bryant. Bryant caught 7 passes for 197 yards and 1 TD. At No. 5, Herbstreit went to the ACC and selected Syracuse WR Darrell Gill Jr. Gill caught 9 passes for 177 yards.

Cal QB Fernando Mendonza got the No. 6 spot after throwing for 299 yards with 3 TDs and adding 35 rushing yards. The final spot for a player went to Arizona State’s Cam Skattebo. Skattebo rushed for 147 yards and 3 TDs in Arizona State’s big win over BYU.

Herbstreit added an 8th spot for the Florida fans. The Swamp was rocking in Week 13 as the Gators pulled off an upset of Ole Miss.
