Kirk Herbstreit spotlighted his top-performing coaches following Week 3’s college football action.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian topped Herbstreit’s list this time around. The Longhorns responded after a close loss to Alabama with a 41-20 win over UTSA on Saturday.
In Pullman, Jake Dickert has Washington State off to a 3-0 start in his 1st full season as the Cougars’ head coach. They topped Colorado State 38-7 on Saturday and will next host No. 15 Oregon.
Also on Herbstreit’s list: Marcus Freeman, who led Notre Dame to its first win of the season after an 0-2 start; Lance Leipold, who has Kansas at 3-0 for the first time since 2009; Brent Venables, who continued his perfect start at the helm of Oklahoma with an easy win over Nebraska; and Tulane’s Willie Fritz, whose Green Wave topped Kansas State in Manhattan.
