Kirk Herbstreit released his top-performing coaches from Week 8 of the college football season via twitter Monday, something he has dome throughout 2022.
The ESPN analyst included 2 SEC coaches and 3 others with past SEC ties.
Included were LSU coach Brian Kelly after the Tigers’ 45-20 win over previously unbeaten Ole Miss, and Shane Beamer, who led South Carolina to its first ever win over Texas A&M.
Also chosen was Oregon coach Dan Lanning, the former Georgia defensive coordinator. The Ducks beat UCLA on Saturday and have now won 6 consecutive games since losing their season opener to the Bulldogs.
Former Vanderbilt and current Penn State coach James Franklin was also recognized. And finally, Liberty coach Huge Freeze, the former Ole Miss head coach, was selected after the Flames beat BYU on Saturday to move to 7-1 on the season.
Many believe that Freeze could emerge as a potential candidate at Auburn if the Tigers decide to part ways with Bryan Harsin.
Here are my top performing coaches from week 8!
