Kirk Herbstreit isn’t expecting a major upset in Columbia as South Carolina hosts No. 1 Georgia at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday.

The Gamecocks stunned the then-No. 3 Bulldogs in double overtime at Sanford Stadium in 2019. Since then, things have turned back in favor of the Dawgs, who have won the last 2 meetings by a combined 56 points and have outscored the Gamecocks 85-29.

“The line of scrimmage has got to be the biggest concern for Shane Beamer,” Herbstreit said on ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday, according to 247Sports. “This is a team that [although] they get excited…it could go down hill in a hurry because of what happened up front against Arkansas a week ago.”

Needless to say, if the Gamecocks can pull off an improbable upset, it would turn heads across the country and be a big early-season blow to Georgia’s hopes of a 2nd straight national championship.

Kickoff on ESPN is set for noon ET.
