Week 6 of SEC football action will feature a top-10 matchup between No. 8 Texas A&M and No. 9 Tennessee and another marquis game between No. 1 Alabama and No. 19 Arkansas, giving College GameDay plenty of talking points.

SEC games have been rescheduled (Georgia-South Carolina) and canceled (LSU-Florida) because of Hurricane Matthew, leading to more discussion from the College GameDay panel.

Kirk Herbstreit had a lot to say on the show, including an evisceration of the Texas Longhorns.

Here are some of Herbie’s SEC-related highlights from Saturday’s show:

On Tennessee’s second-half comebacks:

  • “They’ve come back in four of their five games. That trend can’t continue if they want to come out of [College Station] with a win.”

On Tennessee-Texas A&M:

  • “I do think that, in this stadium, this year is different. I’m a believer. I think Texas A&M gets it done.”
  • Under Kevin Sumlin, when they get over 200 yards [rushing], they’re 27-0. With the way they’re running the ball more, that’s a number to keep an eye on in my opinion.”
  • “The guy who’s stepped up is [Tennessee DE] Derek Barnett. He’s been making plays off the edge. It seems like he makes his best plays when the game is really on the line.”

On Arkansas-Alabama:

  • “When you create space against the Hogs’ defense, it gives them problems.”
  • “I understand the risk [of QB Jalen Hurts running the ball], but you have to win the game. He’s a young player who’s very physical.”

On Auburn’s defensive line:

  • “This defensive line will have to be the difference. They have to take away Mississippi State’s ability to run the football.”

On LSU under interim coach Ed Orgeron:

  • “I think it was just the energy. That LSU team got right behind him. They’re not attacking completely differently — it’s an attitude adjustment.”

On Chad Kelly’s incident at his brother’s high school game:

  • “If your brother is at the bottom of a pile and people are pounding on him… I’m just saying.”
