The popular ESPN analyst took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to share his thoughts on the latest huge news in the college football world — Brian Kelly leaving Notre Dame to replace Ed Orgeron at LSU.
As you can see below, Herbstreit called the hire “fascinating,” and praised the move by LSU AD Scott Woodward:
Congratulations to Scott Woodward & @LSUfootball on a fascinating hire. BK has competed in South Bend for 12 years-grew immensely in that time & within that structure. FIRED UP to see him get on equal ground (talent wise) at LSU and compete w/ the big boys every week in the SEC!

Kelly is the all-time wins leader at Notre Dame, but it seems he’s ready for a new challenge.
Herbstreit is fired up to see Kelly in Baton Rouge. Can the former Fighting Irish leader find success with the Tigers?
