Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Iowa State and Cincinnati are all in the College Football Playoff top 8 rankings, and all were off on Saturday.
No. 1 Alabama played and trounced Arkansas. Meanwhile, No. 6 Florida played and lost in upset fashion to LSU.
On Sunday, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit updated his top 4 rankings, and he has Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State in his current Playoff field:

Cincinnati fans won’t be happy that the undefeated Bearcats didn’t make the top 6 for Herbstreit, but the Bearcats’ game this weekend against a ranked Tulsa squad was canceled, which will potentially hurt them in the eyes of the committee. Those 2 teams will meet this coming weekend, though, in the AAC title game.
How will Herbstreit’s rankings change, if at all, after championship weekend? We’ll find out next Sunday!
